Venture Brothers had one, single episode that would run every once in a while for about a year before they actually made an entire season's worth. Harvey Birdman was relegated to only about three episodes that popped up on occasion, but that changed as well recently.
Heck, even Aqua Teen and Sealab have/had delays between seasons and that's the bread n' butter of Adult Swim, at least on original programming.
